Study NSW, a unit of the New South Wales government, has teamed up with Campus Consultancy and Vygo to launch a platform to offer students free programs and events. Known as Virtual Student Hub, the platform is exclusively accessible to international students who study with New South Wales education service providers. Are you studying in Newcastle, Sydney, regional New South Wales, Wollongong or online? No matter where you study, as one of those students, you can access Virtual Student Hub after registering on the platform.

Sign up on the platform to access free virtual events and in-person events to boost your job-readiness skills and find new friends while practising English alongside student mentors. You can access the platform through the Vygo application or your browser. The application is available on the App Store or Google Play Store.

Study NSW international students can access three programs through the platform:

  • Welcome and Wellbeing
  • Accelerate Series
  • English Conversation Club

In the Welcome and Wellbeing program, each month, the Study NSW team will discuss topics to aid international students in transitioning into life in New South Wales and Sydney. A different virtual speaker will deliver each monthly event, which will involve interaction between the speaker and the students.

The English Conversation Club is a Study Online NSW club for students from all over the world. It is a friendly virtual space that allows students to connect with mentors and practise the English language. All English Conversation Club members are current students and volunteers.

The Accelerate Series of the Study NSW program focuses on career and personal development, with an eye on helping students to make themselves more employable.

Study NSW and Campus Consultancy have teamed up to deliver many events for students from different parts of the world. There are several sub-programs in Study NSW Accelerate Series, including Personal Development Challenge, which now invites registrations.

The three programs will simplify building a network as well as connections between students, and between students and mentors. It will also try to ensure that students do not feel alone, irrespective of where they live.
