THE and AECC GLOBAL announce partnership to help international students looking to study in Australia, Malaysia and Singapore

Times Higher Education (THE), the trusted global data partner for higher education, and AECC Global, a leading provider of independent student counselling services and university application support, are delighted to announce a partnership supporting students who intend to study in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Singapore.

This exclusive partnership with AECC Global further enables THE’s vision to support the mobility of millions of prospective students visiting THE’s website every year.
The partnership will help students navigate the international education journey including selecting and applying to leading universities.

Despite concerns that the COVID-19 pandemic would see physical offices closed and less students looking to study abroad, AECC Global has quickly adapted to the new COVID-19 normal, supporting prospective students by opening a network of digital offices – powered by their Digital Innovation Hub – enabling virtual appointments and large online virtual events for students and universities.

Recent research by AECC Global suggests there are strong signs emerging of a recovery in international student numbers for 2021. In a survey of 1,265 prospective students, respondents demonstrated strong underlying intentions to study abroad even in light of the global COVID-19 pandemic. The vast majority of students surveyed indicated they still intended to study abroad with many planning to commence studies as soon as possible.

Students expressing an interest in some of the AECC Global study destinations under the partnership will be able to access free independent and certified student counselling services and application support via AECC’s 500+ team members and their growing Digital Innovation Hub enabling virtual appointments for students unable to visit the AECC network of offices.

Paul Howarth, CEO at THE commented:

“Our partnership with AECC Global gives us the opportunity to help students looking to study abroad in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Singapore for the first time, from finding the right university for their needs to supporting them throughout the application process. It’s fantastic that we’re now able to offer this service, unlocking the interest we see from millions of visitors to our website every year and giving them the right advice and a helping hand when it comes to navigating one of the biggest decisions of their lives – who to trust with their education.”

Daryl Fong, Chief Operating Officer at AECC Global said:

“We are very excited to be working with THE to assist more international students to access our high quality student placement services, made possible by our strong focus on innovation and technology and our 500+ dedicated team members throughout 33 offices, in 12 countries around the globe.
