VET Nursing Course
Nursing is a popular course among international students as the demand and employment opportunity for Registered Nurses is very high. The number of jobs is expected to go from 283,800 in 2017 to 349,100 by 2022. The basic requirements for a Diploma of Nursing are:
- An IELTS overall 7.0 with no band lower than 7.0
- Completion of Year 12 or equivalent
Nursing courses provide placement of up to 400 hours. Thus, after completing a Diploma of Nursing, graduates would have honed their service orientation, active listening, coordination, monitoring, and reading comprehension skills. Graduates would be considered an enrolled nurse after registration. As an Enrolled Nurse, graduates would be able to earn approximately $1,100/week. Popular states that hire enrolled nurses are Queensland, Victoria, and New South Wales.
