Biomedical Science for International Students

Biomedical Science is an offshoot of a scientific profession. Those pursuing it are seeking careers in a science lab where they can perform various scientific experiments. International students seeking to study Biomedical Science can apply for their permanent residency as a Medical Lab Scientist (ANZSCO: 234611).

A biomedical science course is accredited by the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists (AIMS). With a degree in biomedical science, you will be involved in tasks like examining, analysing, and identifying abnormalities and diseases by analysing bodily fluids, cell composition, and body tissues.

There is a big demand for this profession, and due to skill shortage, only a marginal number of places are filled each year in Australia. Biomedical scientists can aspire to gain employment as a Laboratory Medical Scientist, Pathologist, Medical Researcher, and so on.
